I'll make a proper blog post tomorrow. Not feeling super awesome right now.
Just some small updates: Didn't get any work done tonight. Will work on stuff tomorrow. My hand is hurting and I need to see a doctor about it.
The end.

Fursuit updates
It's been awhile since I've done a fursuit update.
But I do have some! Huzzah!
Some of you may know I've been working on a few different suits. One for myself and two for my fiance.
For my personal suit, I'm working on Wicca. So far, the hand paws are done. I placed a huge order on parts for him, including pads for all four paws, the resin mask, eyes, teeth, tongue, horns, etc. I also have all the fur for him.
Right now, I'm working on his face. The pieces are all cut out and just need to be sewn up and glued on.
Feet wise, I have half the pieces cut out.
I have half of the sleeve pieces cut out.
And for the tail... i haven't started. I'm going to get everything else on Wicca done first.
In the mean time, I'm also working on Amadeus. His head is almost finished. There's a few things to touch up and I need to add some teeth and a nose.
The tail is finished. The hands are finished. Feet are about 90% done. I just need to add some ankles.
The body is getting close to finished. I'm installing the zipper right now. And one of his stripes went missing so I need to cut out a new one. Good thing I saved the pattern. Once I have the zipper and the final stripe installed, I'll sew the body together.
After that, I have Obsidian. I ordered quite a bit for him when I ordered stuff for Wicca, too. Paw pads, teeth, eyes, tongue, base, etc. He's ready for fur. I need to make a pattern for him and order all of the fur. I'll focus more on him after I finish Wicca and Amadeus.
I also have a commission I'm doing for someone of a snow leopard/mix. I'm just putting together the head and furring it. They will be painting it. But I will add pictures! This one is going to requite a bit of foam work. I am excited!

Saving Myself
I went to see my doctor today about my foot. It's been giving me a lot of problems for the past few years. I originally dropped a ceramic piggy bank on my big toe and broke it. There was a chunk of bone floating around and the foot doctor I saw did surgery to remove the bone.
Two years later, I had a bunion. I went to see my foot doctor and he told me nothing could be done. I saw another doctor who told me I needed to have surgery. He referred me to a surgeon.
After the surgery, my foot was still having problems and the doctor didn't do much about it.
What does any of this have to do with the title for this blog post?
Well, at my appointment today, my doctor told me I have prediabetes/ I am borderline diabetic. I don't have diabetes yet but I could get it easily. And this thought terrifies me. My dad is a diabetic and I've seen his struggle.
I've made the choice to avoid letting this happen at all costs! My doctor told me the big thing is to watch what I eat and to exercise every day. I've already been making huge changes to my diet. I used to drink 1 - 2 bottles of mountain dew a day. Sometimes, if I didn't have anything going on that day, I would drink a two liter bottle.
I've seriously cut way back on soda. I drink maybe one bottle of soda per week now. Sometimes, I'll have a little more (like when I was on vacation to England). But for the most part, it's just one soda a week.
I've stopped bringing a gatorade with me every day to work. Instead, I brought a cup and I fill it with ice and water every day. I sip on that through out the work day.
So those are changes I've made before my appointment today. I made those changes because I want to find a nice wedding dress and I want to look good in it. But my appointment today was the slap in the face I needed to realize that changing my diet alone is not going to help me lose weight.
I got on the treadmil tonight and after 5 minutes, my legs and feet were aching (remember; I went to see my doctor because of my foot). But I pushed on for another 15 minutes. I know 20 minutes isn't anything super fantastic, but it's at least 20 minutes.
I want to push myself a little more each day, whether it be by increasing my speed or my time. If I increase my time, I cannot go below that. So tomorrow, I need to walk for at least 20 minutes again. But I also can't go below the speed I went tonight.
It may be a long process, but I'm willing to do what it takes.
I hope to post 2 blog entries a week. One on Friday (this will count as Friday's blog entry) and one on Monday. One will be fursuit related, the other will be about my goal. Stay tuned!
